Information we collect

StairMatch collects information you voluntarily submit, including contact details, shipping ZIP code, flooring and project information, messages, and uploaded project photos.

How we use information

We use submitted information to identify flooring, evaluate custom stair-nosing requests, prepare quotes, pass a project to a qualified manufacturer when it needs something we don't make in-house, communicate about projects, and improve our services.

Forms and service providers

Website forms are processed through Netlify. Hosting, email, analytics, shipping, payment, or other providers may process information only as needed to provide their services.

Analytics

StairMatch uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed, which links are clicked, and whether a request form was sent. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives standard technical information such as your IP address, browser, and device type. Your name, email address, phone number, messages, and uploaded photos are not sent to Google Analytics. You can opt out with Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Photos you upload with a request are stored with that submission by our form provider, Netlify, and are used to review your project and, if your project is passed to a manufacturer, to show that manufacturer what needs to be matched.

Sharing with manufacturers

StairMatch builds many matched stair parts itself, and when we do, your information stays with StairMatch and the service providers above. When a project needs something we don't make in-house, we pass it to one of several qualified manufacturers who specialize in that type of flooring, and that manufacturer contacts you directly by email or phone to confirm the match and quote the work. The stair match and custom order forms ask you to agree to this before a request can be sent, and we record the wording you agreed to alongside your submission.

No manufacturer is contacted automatically: a person at StairMatch reviews every request first. While we find the right manufacturer for your project, manufacturers may see a summary of it - the flooring product, stair details, and general location - without your name or contact details. Your name, email address, phone number, and the project details needed to quote the work go only to the manufacturer that takes your project on.

Once a manufacturer has your details, it uses them to contact you and handle your order under its own terms and privacy practices. General questions sent through our contact page are not passed to a manufacturer.

If you change your mind before your project has been passed to a manufacturer, email order@stairmatch.com and we will stop. If your details have already been passed on, we will tell you which manufacturer received them so you can contact it directly.

Data choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted by emailing order@stairmatch.com.
