The short version

StairMatch may earn a commission when you buy through certain links on this site, at no additional cost to you. Those links are marked "paid link" wherever they appear.

Links without that marking earn StairMatch nothing. They are ordinary retailer or manufacturer pages included because they are useful, and we do not add tracking to them.

How links are marked

Every outbound link that earns a commission carries the words "paid link" next to it and a rel="sponsored" attribute in the page markup, which tells search engines the link is compensated.

Destinations are never disguised. Links go to the retailer you would reach anyway. Amazon links use Amazon’s own amzn.to short links, which open the Amazon listing directly; StairMatch does not route links through any other redirect domain.

How products get selected

Items are listed because they are widely stocked and because their labels state material and substrate compatibility clearly enough for you to check before buying. Whether a link earns a commission is not a factor in what appears or in what order.

Placement is not for sale. No manufacturer or retailer pays to be featured, and none has editorial input into these pages.

If that ever changes for a particular placement, that placement will say so plainly rather than being presented as an independent recommendation.

What StairMatch does and does not sell

StairMatch supplies custom-matched stair nosing and stair tread kits. No affiliate relationship is involved in supplying them. We build many matches ourselves. If a floor needs something we don't make in-house, we pass the project to one of our qualified manufacturers who specializes in that type of flooring, and that manufacturer contacts the customer directly with a quote.

Adhesives, cutting tools, and installation supplies are not StairMatch products. When we point at those, we are pointing at someone else’s listing, and the retailer is responsible for pricing, stock, shipping, and returns.

Programs

As an Amazon Associate, StairMatch earns from qualifying purchases.

Where StairMatch participates in an affiliate program, qualifying purchases made through marked links may earn a commission. Participation changes over time. Rather than list programs that may lapse, the reliable signal is the marking on the link itself: if it does not say "paid link", it is not compensated.

Accuracy and your own checks

Nothing on this site establishes that a product will fit your stairs. Confirm dimensions, profile, thickness, locking system, and the flooring manufacturer’s own requirements against your actual material before ordering or installing anything.

Prices and availability are set by the retailer and change without notice. Where a price appears on this site, it is shown with the date it was checked; treat the retailer’s listing as authoritative.
